Irish pharmacists call on Government for increased funding

The Irish Pharmacy Union is calling on the Government to address what it describes as “chronic” underfunding of the sector in the next Budget.

HSE investment in pharmacies services is currently locked at 2009 levels, a statistic the IPU warns is no longer viable.

IPU President Tom Murray says the Government must increase funding to pharmacies to enable them to provide core services.
