Letterkenny is set to welcome a delegation from its Twin Town, Rudolstadt, Germany, today.
Since the twinning of the towns was first proposed by Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh in 2018, there have been numerous visits back and forth, including exchange programs at Colaiste Ailigh, St Eunan’s College, and Errigal College.
The 55 visitors will be staying for a week and will visit landmarks such as Dunree Fort and Fanad Lighthouse. They will also have the chance to visit local schools and will attend a reception hosted by the Mayor of Letterkenny & Milford Municipal District, Cllr Gerry McMonagle.
The group will depart for Dublin on Tuesday for a meeting with the German Ambassador before flying home.
