Resounding win for ATU Donegal in women’s league

The ATU Donegal Women’s Soccer team recorded a fine victory on Thursday over the Royal College of Surgeons in their Women’s Soccer Colleges Association of Ireland Division One match as they ran out 5-1 winners.

Aoife Gallanagh bagged a great hat-trick while Keri Loughrey scored twice.
Elsewhere this week the men’s soccer side picked up their first point of the CUFL Premier Division.

They drew 3-3 with ATU Sligo on Wednesday. Sean McCallion scored two with Josh Maxwell getting the other.

A win next week over Queens and ATU Donegal will secure their Premier status.

The senior men gaelic footballers played their first match of this year’s HE Senior Football League Division 1 in Garvaghey also on Wednesday.

They lost 3-10 to 0-12 at the hands of St Mary’s but their was some encouraging performances.

The Letterkenny side were down a number of players due to club action but Luke McGlynn Paddy McElwee and Daniel Marley all impressed for ATU and got the bulk of the scores.
