Scoil Naomh Cholmcille in Craigtown, Carndonagh has received approval for an extension by the Department of Education.
It will see the construction of a mainstream classroom that will be provided under the Modular Framework Programme.
The announcement has been welcomed by Donegal Minister, Charlie McConalogue.
