Creeslough families to meet with Justice Minister today

A  number of families of those who died or were injured in the Creeslough tragedy will meet the Justice Minister Helen McEntee in Dublin this afternoon.

It’s expected that the Creeslough Family Support Group, a group representing an estimated 40 people who have been directly affected by the explosion, will tell Minister McEntee that their trauma to date has been immeasurable.

They will also reiterate their calls for an independent public inquiry.

The families had previously raised concerns that their calls be forgotten if a general election was called.

It’s understood that the Environment Minister Eamon Ryan and the Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue will also attend today’s meeting.
