Labour party withdrawing from Government formation talks

The Labour party is withdrawing from government formation discussions.

Leader Ivana Bacik says, following talks with Fianna Fail and Fine Gael in recent days, it’s become clear it wouldn’t be possible to implement the policies they want through programme for government negotiations.

In a statement this afternoon, Deputy Bacik insists Labour will be a “significant force” in the 34th Dail.
