A status yellow wind warning has been issued for Donegal, Galway and Mayo.
The alert comes into effect Tuesday at midnight and will last until 11am that morning.
Strong to gale force and gusty southwest winds are expected.
Met Éireann are urging people to be careful of fallen branches/trees, debris, difficult travelling conditions and wave overtopping due to onshore winds and high seas, particularly during high tide times.
