Pope Francis has waved to crowds from the window of the hospital where he’s been treated for double pneumonia.
It’s his first live public appearance since being admitted five weeks ago.
The 88-year-old is being discharged today and is heading back to the Vatican to ‘rest and recover’.
These people have been gathering in St Peter’s Square to welcome him home.
