Assembly told the North West should be leading the way in renewable energy

 

 

 

The Northern Ireland Assembly has been told that the North West has the capacity to become a leading centre for the generation of renewable energy.

Moving a motion calling for a renewable energy grant scheme to be introduced, Foyle MLA Sinead McLaughlin stressed that as well as the environmental benefits, renewable energy has huge economic potential.

Ms McLaughlin told the assembly that planning laws and investment priorities need to be changed…………….
