A man has been detained following the discovery of drugs in Derry.
Police officers carried out a routine vehicle stop in the city yesterday evening.
One man made off on foot and was detained a short distance away.
A quantity of white powder was located close to where the male was detained.
Two persons are currently assisting police investigating offences related to illegal drug supply.
