A competition to appoint a new Garda Commissioner has been launched.
The deadline for applications is the 29th of this month.
The new Commissioner will be appointed for five years or to the retirement age of 62.
Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan expects to make a recommendation to the Government in July.
