Letterkenny University Hospital is the third most overcrowded hospital in the country today.
26 people are currently waiting on a bed at the hospital.
10 of those patients are on a trolley in the hospital’s Emergency Department, while a further 16 are on wards elsewhere in the hospital.
According to the INMO, 419 admitted patients are on trolleys in hospitals across the country.
