A man has been arrested in County Monaghan on suspicion of human trafficking offences.
It comes as part of an investigation into human trafficking for sexual exploitation and forced criminality.
The Garda National Protective Services Bureau arrested a man in his 50s, who is being detained at a Garda station in the north-eastern region.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information on human trafficking to come forward, particularly those who may be victims of such offences.
