The Health Minister says Letterkenny University Hospital needs to be developed as a campus in a similar way to Galway.
Minister Jennifer Carroll Mac Neill was speaking to Greg Hughes this morning following her meeting with Donegal representatives last night, as they made the case to see a surgical hub in Donegal.
Sligo has been proposed as the preferred location for such a facility.
