The Omagh Bombing Inquiry has heard opening statements from ‘core participants’ this afternoon.

A counsel to the proceedings has said the speed of the disclosure ‘must increase’.

29 people were killed in the Real IRA attack in 1998 – including a woman pregnant with twins.

The inquiry is examining if the atrocity could have been prevented.
