Over 100 thousand patients nationally were waiting for hospital treatment or day procedures, according to the National Treatment Purchase Fund.
At Letterkenny University Hospital, there were 2,024 people awaiting inpatient procedures at the end of July, 49 of them children. That figure is down 300 on June, a fall of 13%.
15,799 people were awaiting outpatient appointments at the end of last month, 1,674 of them children. That’s an increase of 874, a rise of 6%.
