Remediation scheme for DCB social homes expected to come before Cabinet in September

A remediation scheme for defective block social homes is expected to come before Cabinet in September.

It’s estimated that 1,500 of the Council’s housing stock is affected by defective blocks, with 80 properties currently lying empty.

The former Chair of the Council’s Defective Concrete Block Committee says the scheme has been too slow.
