Co Derry fish kill suspected to have been caused by chemical agent

The Loughs Agency suspects that a major fish kill in Co Derry was caused by a chemical agent.

Yesterday, a total of 422 dead fish were discovered on the Ballykelly River, mostly trout.

A thorough investigation into the incident was carried out, and no direct pollution source was identified. However, it’s believed the fish kill may have been caused by a cleaning substance.
