UK Government spends over £4.3 Million on legal fees for Soldier F


The UK Government’s confirmed it’s spent over £4.3 million on legal fees for Soldier F to date.

Last week the former paratrooper was found not guilty of two murders and five attempted murders on Bloody Sunday in Derry in 1972.

The figure was revealed following a Parliamentary Question asked by Foyle MP Colum Eastwood, whose described the costs as “sick”.

In his response – UK Veterans Minister Alistair Cairns said the Ministry of Defence is “committed to supporting veterans and their families”.
