The Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan has announced Government approval for the drafting of legislation which will allow for information sharing between Gardai and schools in relation to violence in the home.
The aim is to strengthen protection for children impacted by violence by creating awareness around the situation and providing support for school children.
Deputy Shane Moynihan says a similar scheme has been operating in Northern Ireland for the past few years………
