Chilly day ahead as temperatures struggle to reach 5°C

A cold snap is taking hold over the coming days.

Some showers of sleet or snow are expected in Connacht and Ulster today.

Top temperatures across the Donegal are only expected to get up to 5 degrees.

Forecast:

Cold and bright today with sunny spells and scattered showers, some of sleet or possibly snow.

Highest temperatures of just 4 or 5 degrees in moderate northwesterly winds, fresher for coastal areas.
