
Donegal County Council says a programme will be put in place for the cleaning of signs across the Letterkenny Milford Municipal District.
The issue was raised this week by Cllr Declan Meehan, who told a meeting that the build up of algae on some signs is so serious in parts of the wider Milford area that they are close to being unreadable.
He’s welcoming the decision to embark on a cleaning programme, and is urging officials to explore the procurement of specialised cleaning equipment.
Cllr Meehan says Tidy Towns do great work keeping towns and villages clean, and that needs to be matched by council…………
