A driver has been charged to court following an incident of speeding in Letterkenny.
A vehicle was found to be traveling at 179kph on the dual carriageway in the town.
The car being used was seized under Section 109(a) of the Road Traffic Act (1961).
To get the car back an application must be made to the Judge of the District Court.
Gardaí are urging people to slow down on the roads.
