Gardaí have begun what they’re calling a comprehensive road safety operation across the St. Brigid’s Bank Holiday.
This will include high visibility patrols, high visibility checkpoints, mandatory drink and drug driving tests, and speed checks across the weekend.
People are being urged to use care when using the roads if they are a pedestrian, driver or cyclist.
