Finn Harps were beaten 1-0 by neighbours Sligo Rovers in their pre-season friendly played at Ray MacSharry Park in Sligo.
Callum Lynch got what turned out to be the winner in the 50th minute.
Donegal’s Shane Blaney, on loan to the Bit o’ Red from Scottish side Livingston, took over the captain’s armband for Sligo for the last half hour.
