There was disappointment for Finn Harps on the opening day of the SSE Airtricity League First Division season.
Kevin McHugh’s side were beaten 2-1 away to Athlone Town in the midlands.
It started well for Harps as they took the lead through debutant Temi Ajibola but that is as good as it got and Athlone took all three points.
