A person has been hospitalised following a medical emergency on Arranmore Island.
Volunteer crew from Arranmore RNLI were requested by Malin Head Coast Guard to assist in a medical evacuation from the island at 6.50am this morning.
The casualty was transferred from the Arranmore ambulance to the lifeboat, taken to a waiting ambulance in Burtonport.
They were then transferred to Letterkenny University Hospital for assessment and treatment.
