
Republic of Ireland head coach Heimir Hallgrimsson is hopeful that Séamus Coleman will extend his playing career through to the 2028 Euros.
The 37-year-old earned his 79th cap in last night’s draw with North Macedonia, and has yet to reveal what his plans are beyond this season.
He received a standing ovation when he was replaced on 61 minutes, in what could yet turn out to be his final appearance for his country.
