Ireland have beaten Scotland 2-1 in the FAI Schools Schools Centenary Shield in Athlone this afternoon.
Finn Harps youngsters Declan Patton and Rowan McGroarty both started, with the latter receiving the Player Of The Match for his solid performance at the back.
Ireland were 1-0 down after just 9 minutes but got back on level terms by half-time thanks to an own goal.
Tralee’s Robert Keane then got what turned out to be the winner to give Ireland a brilliant victory in the Centenary Shield.
