138 people have been arrested for driving under the influence of drink or drugs during the Garda Easter bank holiday operation.
More than 3,000 have been caught speeding, with over 310 detected using a mobile phone or not wearing a seatbelt.
Gardai say high-visibility checkpoints and mandatory intoxicant testing will continue until tomorrow morning.
