Abuse directed at council staff by members of the public will not be tolerated, according to the Mayor of Letterkenny-Milford Municipal District.
Cllr Ciarán Brogan was speaking after a recent incident at the Letterkenny Public Services Centre that resulted in Gardaí being called.
Cllr Brogan says it is important council workers know they are valued and appreciated.
