Effigy of mosque placed on Tyrone bonfire

A man’s been detained by the PSNI an effigy of a Mosque was placed on top of a loyalist bonfire in County Tyrone.

Human rights group Amnesty International’s calling the display in Moygashel “vile”.

The same bonfire also caused controversy last year – when an effigy of migrants in a boat was placed on top.

The PSNI says its holding a 56 year old man on public order charges.

Bonfires will be lit in loyalist areas across Northern Ireland this weekend, for the Orange Order’s 12th of July parades.
