Strabane has been shortlisted in the competition to become UK Town of Culture 2028.
The town’s bid is one of just 15 selected from almost 400 applications.
Derry City and Strabane District Council says reaching the shortlist marks a significant milestone and represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity for the border town.
The Council says the bid has the potential to drive economic regeneration, boost confidence in the town centre and attract significant national investment.
