A Buncrana councillor has condemned the dumping of up to 20 nappies in the Stragill River near the town’s beach earlier this week.
Councillor Fionan Bradley says the incident poses an environmental risk and is particularly disappointing at one of the busiest times of the year for the area.
He says illegal dumping like this also places unnecessary pressure on the council’s resources.
