Of the 206 Garda graduates attested at Templemore today, three will be assigned to Donegal.
Two Gardaí will be stationed in Letterkenny, with one allocated to Buncrana.
The allocation has been welcomed by Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher, who says any increase in Garda numbers is positive, but he is disappointed that more officers have not been assigned to the county.
He says securing additional Garda resources in Donegal will be a priority when the Dáil returns in September:
