Approximately half of all vehicles tested at NCT centres in Donegal last month passed the test.
A total of 5,049 tests were carried out, with 2,501 vehicles passing and 2,548 failing.
Of those that failed, 363 were deemed to have dangerous defects.
45% of inspections were carried out in Letterkenny, 27% in Donegal Town, while the centres in Carndonagh and Derrybeg accounted for 15% and 13% respectively.
