Across the bank holiday weekend, crews from Arranmore RNLI responded to four calls in four days.
On Friday at 2am, Malin Head Coast Guard requested assistance from crews for a medical evacuation from the island to a waiting ambulance in Burtonport, which would take the patients on to Letterkenny University Hospital for assessment.
Early Saturday at 7:30am, a report of persons in a dingy was received by crews; however, the coast guard reported that the dingy arrived safely on shore, resulting in crews being stood down.
Two incidents were recorded on Monday, first at 11:22am when Malin Head Coast Guard called for assistance on a medical evacuation; later the same day at 9:57pm a second medical evacuation was requested.
Both patients were transferred onto ambulances at Burtonport to be taken to LUH.
Coxswain Kieran O’Donnell wished the casualties a speedy recovery and thanked crews for answering calls whatever the time, day or night.
