The funeral is taking place in Kilcar this morning of James and Noreen McHugh, both of whom died following a collision in County Cavan on Monday.
Bishop Niall Coll has sent a message of sympathy saying their sudden and heartbreaking deaths have cast a dark cloud over the entire diocese, county and beyond.
Bishop Coll concludes the Diocese of Raphoe is numbed by their deaths, but consoled by their legacy.
