E-scooter users face €100 fine for failing to wear helmet and hi-vis

Rules requiring e-scooter users to wear a helmet and hi-vis clothing are now in place.

Those who don’t comply with the regulations face a 100 euro fine if they’re caught.

Jason Cullen, Chair of the Dublin Commuter Coalition, doesn’t think the new rules will be effective in reducing the number of children injured, as they’ll ultimately impact on adults:
