A Buncrana councillor has raised concerns about the status of the Buncrana Inner Relief Road project within Donegal County Council’s list of priorities.
Cllr Fionán Bradley says the council needs to progress the project after correspondence between Donegal Minister Charlie McConalogue and Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien indicated that funding would be made available for the works.
Responding to Cllr Bradley’s concerns at a meeting of the Inishowen Municipal District, council staff said the Inner Relief Road is on their list of top projects.
However, Cllr Bradley says he finds the council’s position difficult to accept:
