Donegal’s Michael Langan has been nominated for a Football All Star award for 2026.
The St Michael’s clubman is among six players nominated for the two midfielder awards.
Langan enjoyed an excellent campaign for Donegal who exited this year’s All-Ireland when they lost out to Dublin in the round before the quarter-finals.
Tyrone’s Conn Kilpatrick has also been nominated for a midfielder award while his team-mate Niall Devlin is nominated in defence.
Mayo have dominated the nominations for the Football All Stars .
There are 11 players nominated for the All-Ireland champions, with seven for beaten finalists Kerry.
Dublin have five players on the shortlist, with four for Leinster champions Westmeath,
There are three nominations each for Monaghan, Louth and Armagh,
Tyrone, Cork, Galway, and Roscommon all have two players in contention.
Kerry’s David Clifford could claim a fourth Footballer of the Year title – he’s named on the shortlist alongside Mayo duo Ryan O’Donoghue, and Jack Carney,
While Mayo’s Darragh Beirne and Kobe McDonald, and Louth’s Dara McDonnell are the Young Footballer nominees.
