Letterkenny Rovers have beaten TU Dublin 6-3 in Group 2 of the FAI National League at Leck View Park this evening.
The away side opened the scoring on 12 minutes through Adam Mulhall but it was all-square just before the half-hour mark when Zach Gorman slotted home a penalty for Rovers.
Adam Farrell then put TU Dublin 2-1 up five minutes before the break and they carried a slender lead into the half-time interval.
Thomas Morgan looked to have given the Dubliners some daylight when he scored on 55 minutes only for Adrian Delap to make it 3-2 just a minute later.
It was 3-3 on 76 minutes when Gorman got his second and he then completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot on 86 minutes to make it 4-3.
Two further late goals from substitute Jamie Harris put some gloss on the score-line as Stephen McConnell’s team earned their second win of the campaign.
In this afternoon’s other Group 2 fixture, St. Francis defeated Salthill Devon 4-1.
