The State Pension could rise by €7.50 in the upcoming Budget.
The increase is understood to be lower than last year’s €10 rise, in an effort to divert resources to energy supports.
The Irish Independent also reports that there will be significant cuts to childcare fees from January.
A new cost-of-disability payment is also set to be introduced.
