A solution to the Drumcree standoff in the North hangs in the balance this morning.
Portadown Orangemen say they will not accept any deal that requires them to “walk away” from what they see as their right to parade down the Garvaghy Road.
However, a representative of Garvaghy Road residents says they are prepared to accept a document setting out a possible resolution to the dispute.
Journalist Amanda Ferguson says both sides have remained tight-lipped about exactly what’s contained in the document……..
