
A 100% Redress Party Councillor has expressed her disappointment that the Government’s ‘Be Emergency Ready’ booklet offers no guidance for those living in properties affected by defective concrete.
Cllr Joy Beard says this is despite her raising the issue directly with the Minister for Defence, Helen McEntee.
Her correspondence, which was also sent to the Department of Defence and the Office of Emergency Planning, requested that affected households be recognised in national emergency planning and given practical advice on preparing for storms and accessing somewhere safe to stay.
