
A major upgrade to one of the North’s most dangerous roads is being welcomed.
The “1.7 billion pound A5 project was stopped last year over climate-change targets, but can go now ahead after appeal judges overturned a ruling which had blocked it.
More than fifty people have died on the A5 since 2006.
