West Tyrone MLA Daniel McCrossan has voiced his support for a motion banning harmful devices used for training animals.
The motion was introduced to the Stormont Assembly by the Ulster Unionist Party this week seeking to ban items such as like shock collars and choke chains as training tools.
Mr McCrossan believes that pets enrich lives and should be afforded compassion and protection from harm.
