The 2026 Donegal Intermediate Football Championship has been dominated by Inishowen clubs and two of them will go head-to-head in this weekend’s decider.
Carndonagh and Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin Muff face off this weekend having both beaten teams from the peninsula in their semi-finals.
Indeed, Carn’s quarter-final was also against fellow Inishowen side Buncrana – a game that went all the way to the wire with Michael O’Donnell’s side coming out on top after extra-time.
Their semi-final was a tussle with local rivals Malin which ended in a comfortable nine-point victory.
For Naomh Padraig Muff, they had a 2-13 to 0-15 win over Burt in their last-four clash and are aiming to make the leap from being crowned Junior Champions last year to Intermediate Champions this year.
Highland’s Oisin Kelly has been speaking to both camps ahead of this Sunday’s match.
Firstly, here’s Carndonagh Manager Michael O’Donnell…
Carn are captained by Darragh Browne…
Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin’s Manager is Peter Murphy…
And Naomh Padraig will be captained by Darragh McIntyre…
