A Donegal Senator says Oireachtas members should not cross picket lines if planned strike action goes ahead next Wednesday.
A number of public sector workers are preparing to take industrial action in a dispute over pay, including staff at Leinster House.
Speaking in the Seanad yesterday, Senator Eileen Flynn called on her colleagues not to attend work on Wednesday in an act of solidarity with striking workers.
She says it would be disrespectful to do otherwise:
