Around €1 million has been allocated to mental health services in Donegal under Budget 2027.
The funding will establish an Early Intervention in Psychosis team in the county, comprising nine staff members.
Donegal Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher has welcomed the investment, saying early intervention is vital when someone experiences psychosis for the first time.
He says timely access to specialist assessment, treatment and support can have a significant impact on recovery and long-term wellbeing.
The allocation follows €1.3 million in Budget 2026 for the development of a Crisis Resolution Team and the Solace Café in Donegal.
